Midland Trail Scenic Byway

   A road as old as the land, buffalo and Native Americans marked this trail through the mountains of West Virginia.  Always a main transportation route, this trail has been a part of American history from Colonial Days to the Civil War to the Industrial Revolution. Today the trail is a scenic escape, providing awesome vistas of the Kanwaha and New Rivers to the rolling farmland settled before America was born.
